Registrations Now Open: AVERT National Research Symposium 2026

Registrations are now open for the 2026 AVERT National Research Symposium: Youth and Extremism, taking place 26–27 November 2026 at Macquarie University's City Campus (Level 24/123 Pitt St), Sydney, Australia.

This year's invitation-only symposium brings together researchers, practitioners, analysts and policymakers from across Australia for a deep dive into issues of national and strategic priority for the CVE (countering violent extremism) and CT (counterterrorism) research and practitioner communities, exploring youth radicalisation, online influences, and the growing involvement of young people in extremist movements. The symposium will feature a keynote address from Dr Ghayda Hassan (Université du Québec à Montréal; Director & Founder, CPN-PREV). Overseas presenters can register to present virtually.
