About Michael

 

Michael Wolfowicz is Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Criminology, Faculty of Law, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

His research primarily focuses on criminological applications to the study of radicalization, extremism, and terrorism, both theoretically and methodologically. His work to date has included the study of: terrorism and place (crime and place), recidivism, policing of terrorism, deterrence, echo chambers, social media surveillance, media-effects, and risk and protective factors. He primarily makes use of quantitative methods, including meta-analysis.  His broader research interests include deviant cognitions, and media-effects, with a focus on the impacts of network structure characteristics.
