Associate Professor Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson is an Associate Professor in Media and Communication at Victoria University of Wellington (Te Herenga Waka). His specialisms are in media/communication policy and regulation and also communication processes in financial markets. He is founding co-editor of the Political Economy of Communication journal. Peter has also undertaken commissioned research for the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, NZ On Air, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Broadcasting Standards Authority, SPADA, and the Canadian Department of Heritage. He is also the NZ lead researcher on the Global Media and Internet Concentration Project.
