Muhammad Akram

Muhammad Akram is a scholar-practitioner who holds a PhD from Concordia University, Montreal, and an MA in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. He routinely publishes peer-reviewed research on the interconnectedness between disinformation on social media and violent radicalism, especially in fragile politics. Apart from academic research, he has worked for over a decade with various applied research and evaluation projects by multilateral agencies, including the World Bank and USAID, in active conflict and violence settings. He was also an Atlas Corps Fellow in Washington, D.C., under the Emerging Global Leaders Initiative of the U.S. Department of State.
