Associate Professor Maria O’Sullivan

Maria O’Sullivan is an Associate Professor at the Deakin Law School and has written on a broad range of human rights issues relating to counter-extremism and terrorism law. Her work has included scholarly papers on pseudolaw and sovereign citizens, the human rights implications of national security and the use of political violence. She is currently undertaking a three-year research project on the right to protest and has made a number of submissions to government inquiries on hate speech and counter-extremism measures. She is a regular media commentator on a broad range of rights issues.
