Kosta Lucas is a dedicated academic and practitioner with almost 15 years of cumulative experience in building community resilience and youth engagement to prevent and counter violent extremism.

Kosta’s professional experience includes advising organisations such as Google, Meta, and various United Nations agencies on addressing extremism and societal polarisation in global contexts, as well as shepherding numerous community engagement projects with local government agencies, community groups and non-profit organisations in the APAC, EU and MENA regions.

Currently, Kosta serves as a Lecturer and Coordinator for Social Justice program at the University of Notre Dame Australia. Alongside this role, he is also completing a doctorate on the justice sensitivities of violent extremist actors.
