Dr Gabriel O. Adebayo

Gabriel O. Adebayo is a doctoral student in the Doctoral Programme in School, Education, Culture, and Society at the University of Helsinki in Finland. He received his masters’ degrees (3) in the Religious Roots of Europe from the University of Helsinki (2013), Comparative and International Education from the University of Oslo, Norway (2009), Religious Education from The Norwegian Teacher Academy, Norway (2006). His bachelor’s degree is in Theology (Magna Cum Laude), and he obtained this from Andrews University in the United States (2002). Gabriel O. Adebayo’s PhD research deals with the nexus of citizenship, religion and education in view of human security and radicalization issues in Finland and Europe. He is examining this complex subject from the perspective of realist assumptions and constructivist perspectives. Gabriel O. Adebayo has published some of his works on the subject in peer reviewed journals. He has attended international conferences both within and without Finland and presented some of his research works there. His doctoral research has received supports from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
