Dr. Andrew Zammit is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Victoria University, focusing on terrorism and security studies, including violent extremism in Australia and the relationship between terrorism and transnational dimensions of armed conflict. Since 2010, he has been employed on terrorism and security related research projects at Monash University and Victoria University with government partners including Victoria Police, the Department of Justice and Community Safety Victoria, the Defence Science and Technology Group, the Australian Federal Police and the NSW Premier's Department. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, and is a member of the Victorian Government’s Expert Advisory Committee on Countering Violent Extremism. He was recently awarded a National Intelligence Postdoctoral Grant for the project “How events abroad shape threats at home: grounded approaches for forecasting violent extremism”.
